Each trade post expands the trade collection hyperlane range by 1, so 6 of them means all systems with a 6 jump radius will have their trade value collected by that starbase. Trade hubs allow space stations to collect trade value from their system and adjacent systems increasing based on the number of trade hubs you have. If you have a system that produces a lot of trade value, make sure to build a trade hub nearby so that trade value gets activated by connecting to your home planet. ![]() One trick to generating a lot of trade value early game-ish is to set up a starbase specifically with trade posts. Trade value is the supposed economic value of you planets and various celestial bodies, what it does is convert into resources, energy credits for most starting empires. Trade value basically means energy credits. Generally the EN gain per job is higher with generator districts that with trade, but like Codex said, trade can be configured to generate unity or consumer goods as well. A starbase is the primary space station used throughout the game and is used for determining the ownership of a star system construction, repair and maintenance of ships collection and transportation of Trade Value as well as acting as a strategic fortress during warfare. If you can sustain the CG needs and if you have enaugh population it will be better, but generator disctrict are the way to go early to mid game To expand further: City districts by default only give you 1 clerk job (unless you get a perk in prosperity traditions), while generator districts give you 2 jobs. Also these buildings, and the pops, require consumer goods. Originally posted by C0DEx:Trade Value buildings use a lot of clerk jobs to produce the trade value, so you need a higher population. ![]()
